Oil Seals

NOK supplies both standard and special design seals for both general and special applications.
Besides being used mostly in vehicles, NOK oil seals are also employed in many types of machinery and equipment used for industrial, commercial and domestic purposes.

NOK Type & Design Application Features

D Type

This seal is designed for sealing two different sealing fluids.

(Max. pressure 0.3 kg/cm² ).

This design can be substitute with 2 SB/SC type by installing back to back.

A combination of two springs fitted seal lip facing in the opposite direction.

O Type

Outer sealing the shaft does not revolve but the housing rotate.

(Max. pressure 0.3 kg/cm²)

The spring is fitted on the outer seal lip. Require good housing bore inner surface finish.

VR Type

This is attached to shaft and slides the seal lip on the terminal wall of the fixed end preventing leakage of grease an infiltration of water, dust and foreign object.

It is a single lip seal of rubber, and cross-section of a V shape.

Z Type

Used mainly as a light duty dust seal, grease seal for roller bearing plumber block.

The cross-section of this seal is almost like a Z shape, comprise of a simple rubber substance.

ZF – single seal lip.
ZT – seal lip with dust lip.

OKC3 Type (Scale)

Mainly used for the roll neck of the rolling machine. It prevents entry of cooling water, oil and scale.

A combination of spring -less outer seal lip and dust lip, both lips facing the same direction.

H Type (Helix)

This seal is mainly used for automotive engine, differential gears and transmission.

Having spiral line all over the seal lip periphery. These spiral line push back fluid likely to leak through the sealing portion due to pumping action. A clockwise or anti-clockwise spiral is available.
